My bad guys. Let's hope that day never comes.

I think JJ would have a shot at a medical redshirt year depending on how many snaps he's played in this season.

What would be the point when we have an experienced backup center who doesn't get injured constantly. Combine that with the expectation that Boone Feldt is coming in....... I don't mean to bash JJ but redshirt or no redshirt we need someone that can be healthy and his body isn't up to the challenge.

JJ has played his heart out for the Mean Green and has done everything he can do to stay on the field, and has played when he probably should not have played. I appreciate very much his efforts. The kid is a warrior and a BIG part of the UNT program. He is a team captain as well and that should tell you something. I know folks here are not bashing JJ, but I just want to mention that he has played well...even when hurt for the Mean Green. I wonder if he can take much more or would even want to try for another red shirt year. My guess would be that he would want to move on and let others carry the weight. He lifted a heavy load for this program and I am very thankful for the fact that he is a member of the great Mean green Nation.

If he wants to play and can play without further injury this season, i would love to see him in the lineup. But, if he can't or is hurt to such an extent that he feels he can no longer play at the level he wants and could play, then I hope he "hangs up his cleats", but stays with the team for the rest of the season. The kid is a leader, and this team needs guys like JJ to help them the rest of the way. JJ, thanks so much. I hope you can make it back before the season ends, but, if not, you should be VERY proud of your contributions to this program.
