UNT's position on the BCS via Bowl Revolution and a recruiting note

A playoff would benefit about 20 teams -- and especially the top 10 -- with a realistic shot at winning the whole deal every year.

Teams from leagues like the Sun Belt, MAC, WAC and CUSA would essentially get hosed. One team would get in from those leagues and then be whacked by Texas, Oregon or Auburn.

I am confused by this comment in the article. It's too early to be making this assumption.

Last year was the only time in Sun Belt history (other than 2005, before the league played 8 conference games and also a year where 3 teams tied and 3/4ths of the league was 3-4 in conference play or better) that a 2 loss team has even managed to tie for the conference title.

10 years of football, and 2 losses in conference has historically proven that your title hopes are finished.

Well the fact we have a shot at the Sunbelt title after being 0-1 is excellent and if we take care of business next Saturday we will continue in title desperation mode the following week. Thank you LaLa.

      If we win out reg season we are in?

      I wouldn't say 0% chance, but yeah, in that scenario (UNT loses to Memphis in AAC Final) there would be too much going for us at that time, especially if McNeese (1st in Southland/#66Kenpom), UTSt (2nd in MWC/#43Kenpom) also make deep runs in their tournaments &/or win them. It would really help if High Point wins the Big South regular season &/or tournament (currently 2nd). Maybe more like a 10% chance we get left out, but if so, I guarantee we'd be in the "1st 4 out".
