Does anyone know where I can get an image or picture of the Mean Green Battle Flag? I need one for a sign I am making for my office door at work that promotes the college(s) we graduated from or attended. I would really appreciate any assistance. I know the Horns and OU symbols will have a heavy presence. Probably from more people that drove through Austin and Norman once or twice in their lives than those that actually attended those schools. I have a chance to really promote our school. I have some great pictures, but I'm struggling to find a good one of the Battle Flag.

Speaking of the Battle Flag, I have yet to see it on the field at Apogee. Has anyone seen it on the field during a game?

Hmmmm...a very good question. Now who could answer that?

Any Talons want to shed light on this?

I would give you the answers(excuses) as to why the big 12x8 NT Battle Flag, which the McKinney family donated to the university and Talons several years ago, was not at the Houston or Indiana games. But it would just piss some people off and embarrass others.

Hopefully someone has enough pride and takes the responsibility endowed to them to carry on one of our longest standing traditions we have and make sure it Fly's Like An Eagle at the FAU game?

Only at North Texas.

The Honor Students at the school I teach at made us some pretty cool signs for our classroom doors. So I have a nice SOW with my name on it, what my degree is in and where I graduated from posted outside my classroom. Once inside I have a UNT football helmet on my desk and the 2011 UNT Football poster on my wall, I talk about the greatness of UNT every chance I get to my students and athletes. They are always very interested even though many of them are Baylor fans. (Waco area)

Rick,

I would really like to know why the flag isn't on the sidelines. If you can't post it on the board, would you please PM me.

Thanks,

Joe

It's to big for the new stadium. No track.

Not true in the least. The reasons why it can't lead the team onto the field are.......???? Or why it can't stay in and endzone and be run around after scores???? There's no track at OU and the schooner manages to fit in the stadium...and it's a whole damn wagon! The truth is that there is NO valid reason.
