The Shame of College Sports

I don't know if this has yet been posted, but I thought it was a fascinating, though lengthy read on the NCAA, how it began and how it arrived where it is now. Discuss the state of college athletics and where money goes. At the end, I felt disheartened and frustrated with one of my favorite sports.

I don't agree with all his conclusions but I do agree with sentiment. There's a report today that they want to remove the two team limit per conference for BCS bowls. Every team and every conference is in a state of me, me, me. Greed, greed, greed. To hell with anyone else.

Some say we're heading towards four, 16 team conferences. It may actually be much less than that. It's a very sad time college football is in right now. I hate getting the government involved but it may take that to setup some kind of oversight to get things under control.
