we're on the other side of the tunnel. i apologize for any raucus behavior my wife and I may have displayed. the older folks surrounding us have just had to learn to deal with it... and the smell of rum

I don't know what my group would do about a raucus, we may have to raise you a the smell of tequila and see our brouhaha.

I'll show all of you the true power of cheap whiskey and over-proofed rum. This will be me at kickoff...

I hope that does not make me skeletor.

I see an magic hand from above has embedded a perfect photo from around my section of the Jumbo-tron and the problem with the net that worsens when back ground on the screen is lighter. Thank you magic hand!

The ref mic problems are obviously the worst issue, the volume control on the whole audio system seemed pretty up and down. Sometimes way too loud.

The net in front of the main Jumbo=tron is not good, this needs to be on a reel. My section and seats are in section 205 rows 2 & 3 the net obstructs the screen. Maybe it is the angle maybe it is the net covers only 3/4s of the screen. But when the background on the screen is on the light side the screen is very bothersome. Why do we have an awesome Jumbo-tron and have it is burred and obstructed by a net. Why isn't the protection net on a pulley system and up only for kicks?

Even your picture makes it obvious that the picture looks all pixelated behind the net but clear where the net isn't.

Honest question:

I'm sure the wireless mics are tested and re-tested every single game. Yet, for the opening 2 games, they have not been working correctly.

Would we really be interested in having a retractable net that runs a possibility of not working when needed? I'm sure an opposing kicker would love nothing more than to nail a kick right into an unprotected jumbotron and cause damage.

Having a permanent net eliminates this possibility. I sit in 205 and it is hardly noticable. But a black spot (or several) where the screen was damaged would certainly be noticed.

I think this is a very valid point you made here Texan. What do other colleges do. Surely there are others who have come up with a solution?

The stadiums I have been to the Jumbotron was not in a situation to get hit by a kicked ball, I can tell you guys it looks pretty Horrible at times the way it is. I am sure they can figure out a dependable net pulley system even if it means two sets of nets.
