Glad to see this topic resurrected, even if for the wrong reason. I also miss the pre-game parade around the track, but one of the many good things about Apogee is there is no track. There is, however, something I would like to see the band bring back. Through the last season at Fouts, the band played a patriotic prelude and a drum roll as the color guard brought the flags to the field. That was taken out last year, and I think it took a lot away from the presentation of the colors.

And what I would like to see the Band bring back is REAL PAGEANTRY AND SHOWMANSHIP.

They need to make a GRAND ENTRANCE onto the field....the endzone will do nicely, (with the assistance of a hard driving, and creative, drum cadence) , ANNOUNCE THEIR PRESENCE WITH A BIG SOUND AND UP-TEMPO FANFARE, and then quickly move into a VERY UP-TEMPO version of the fight song whilst smartly marching down the field.....OU Band style. Kind of like this......

But as another poster noted. Instead of dazzling the crowd and really getting them worked up, they will probably do something pretty mundane.
