Why do I keep thinking of the first line of Tennyson's Charge of the Light Brigrade: "Into the valley of death rode the 600"?

Wish it weren't so, but in the current state of the program, I'm afraid we are asking the equivalent of our young men. All I can ask is that they acquit themselves with honor and determination and play as hard and well as they can.

I look forward to the day when we visit a top 5 ranked team and can expect that even if they don't win, they are able to put one hell of a scare into them. Unfortunately, it is going to take time to get to that place.

In the meanwhile, GO MEAN GREEN!
