Should be a beautiful evening, and our first night game of the year.

For those of you fortunate enough to make the trip, anyone doing brisket??

Of course BBQ in the South is pulled pork, but I enjoy both.

Looking forward to seeing Chancellor compete with our secondary.

As a BBQ guy, thought I would ask it anyone has a personal brisket or sauce recipe they would like to share??

Thanks, and hope you guys enjoy the trip!

Wow, the first Alabaman I have ever known of who doesn't think barbecuing beef brisket is a sin!

Make this the second then. Was in Richardson, TX, last year and had some brisket tacos at a mexican joint there. They were slap yo momma good.

It all comes down to what your area produces more of...Texas produces tons of beef and we produce tons of pork. Perfect tailgate plate would include some fine brisket and dry rub pork ribs.

I will try to come up with a good dry rub for elephant unless you prefer sauce.

No one have ever slayed our elephant B)

I love doing brisket myself, and in The South, I often judge a BBQ place not by pork or ribs, but by how good the brisket and smoked turkey is.

If anyone needs tickets to tomorrows game I have at least 5 extra (could be more). Text or call me and we can work something out. I will be in Birmingham tonight and in T-town by 2pm tomorrow. 214-243-3364

The only time you put sauce on brisket is when you messed it up and you're trying to hide something. I will say that in our new stadium we have 2 different great BBQ vendors to choose from. Now that's a great thing.

Who are the vendors?

Rudy's BBQ and the locally owned Metzler's BBQ...both great spots but if you ever make it to Dallas my reigning area champ is far and beyond Off the Bone BBQ. Seriously....it makes you wanna slap your momma.
