My only complaint for the whole day was the suck Sonic dinner offering for the family pack.

One small hotdog or a small pile of fritos w a little chili can hardly be considered a meal...no fries, no tots.

As I said before, Sonic doesnt jive well with a family that is partial vegetarian, but I wasnt going to complain too much, I figured at least we would get a Tot Dog or a pile of fries to fill up on...nope

But hey, they have good ice so I guess I should shut up.

Man I wish we had pizza back.

Other than the food it was an awesome experience.

Yeah, had some friends in my group that enjoyed the day, but were perturbed by the change to the Family Fun pack's dinner options. Sounds like the only option is Sonic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing...but the lines were enormous (waited 30 minutes during the 1st & 2nd quarter). Not sure if it was a communication thing or something else, but I imagine that all those that waited in those long lines were not pleased.

Seems like something the AD should be able to correct/adjust...

I was really hoping they would have cheeseburgers for the meals too:

I think it is better for us to get the individual tickets next time.

My biggest complaint was no water bottles from outside. I had to dump my sons sippie cups out and he started crying.

Not a good way to start the Apogee experience.

The lines were incredibly long but that should just be for the opener.

Are you saying you do not want long lines? Long lines = more butts in seats, no?

Or, are you saying that possibly this is just a kink to be worked out??

I thought the lines were pretty reasonable...again, judging from experiences at other, bigger schools.

We're not vegan, so our we scarfed down the hot dogs before opening kickoff. My boy went through the Frito Pie pretty quickly. And, because he's only 5, it was portion enough for him.

We bought some nachos later, and they were good. We also got popcorn, which my wife complained about. But, me and the kids went through it as well.

Can't really complain much about the food.

I also, again, loved the seats. Most of the people around seem pretty good. Some aren't accustomed to being loud as hell when the defense is on the field, but I feel like they will learn.

The no outside beverage policy is everywhere you go these days, not just Apogee. I took a train from Grapevine to Fort Worth yesterday and since they sold drinks on the train, they wouldn't let us bring our own drinks on board.

Well, I would rather be watching the football game than waiting in a 30 minute line!

I think it is a kink to be worked out but was totally willing to endure it for our first game.

3 of the other vendors ran out product so everyone had to go to Sonic.

Yep, I am always a bit surprised these days when people complain about the no food/drink from the outside thing. Seems to me that I haven't been to any sporting event outside a youth game where they DO allow outside food/drink. No college game at any level has allowed that at any game I have been to recently, nor any high school game (granted i have not been to that many HS games recently), nor any concerts, etc. I understand it sucks, but I cannot imagine anyone showing up at a college game these days expecting to being food/drinkl into the game from the outside. I even saw a lady at the airport arguing with a security agent about her water bottle...how long has that been a rule???? I fully appreciate the angst when little kiddos are involved and wish it were different, but it isn't and it hasn't been for a long time. Couldn't bring it into Fouts either as I recall. Not a new rule at all. Doesn't, however, mean that one has to like it I guess.

I can handle long lines, but they have to speed up the operation. Sonic lines were long and the workers were in no hurry. Beth Maries had an odd order taking system that was confusing those working in their "booth." Those two took the longest. They just need to fine-tune their operations a little and everything will be fine. It sure was nice to be able to get drinks with ice!

I was thinking they would let you bring in water. We just dumped out the water in the cups then walked right over to the water fountain and filled them up. No biggie. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

I think one of the long line issues stems from the volunteers that run the concessions. I know that they are working for free and asking for donations to their cause(boy scouts, local schools, etc...) but the lines I went to were long because the people didn't even know how to run the cash register and didn't appear to be trained at all. Again, I realize they are raising money through donations for their cause and they are saving the university money it would cost to staff the stands with employees but they REALLY NEED TO BE TRAINED TO DO THE JOBS THEY ARE TASKED WITH. Aside from that I was thrilled with the myriad of options(Rudys, Beth Maries, Kettle Corn, Sonic) and the prices are reasonable.

Yeah, I felt like that might be a problem after going to the FIU watching party. Took me about 2-3 minutes to buy a Coke, and I was the only one in line.

I didn't see a corn dog stand. Did anybody else notice one? IIRC they weren't at the first game last year either. Need to get my c-dog fix at the games, so I'm hoping they have them in the future.

I got a coke and hotdog 20 mins before kickoff and there was almost no line. Price was reasonable too.

Went to the aggie-smuT game last week and they do allow one bottle of water to be brought into the stadium.

I walked into Apogee with my ticket in one hand and a water bottle in the other. Scanned ticket and waved me through.
