"North Texas never needed Matt Tomlinson to do more than what he felt comfortable with for the first three years of his career.

The senior tackle would line up on Saturdays, focus on his individual matchup and not a whole lot else.

By doing so, he helped support the vocal leaders who played beside him like Victor Gill and Kelvin Drake.
