What do you expect them to do if every spot is claimed, either by donors or sales? They can’t make the passes get used, but can you imagine if they oversold that lot and people with valid passes showed up with no spot to park in?
Anybody the tries to arrive at a football game an hour before kickoff, especially one where the crowd is expected to be bigger, is an unaware fan and will certainly experience delays. UNT draws more than they used to.
I go to college games all over the country, and UNT is not different. The aware fan will arrive a couple of hours prior to kickoff for the better parking spots and ease of getting in. Those who wait until later and try to squeeze in just prior to kickoff get what they will get….delays. It doesn’t matter what stadium you go to.
1 foot/yard from the goal line is where two things are pretty important.
1. You need to have linemen who are not only big, but they are also very strong for their size and quick off the line. THEN you need a RB that is a cross between a bowling ball and a battering ram........and also very quick off the line. Someone with very well developed thighs. Attaway used to be that guy, and our current "lost for the season RB" Harris (#44 on your program) appeared to be that kind of guy.
If those two things are not doable, then you need a tight end who has very sure hands and is good at fighting for the ball. That would be Oscar Hammond (#23 on your program) who I never saw out on the field yesterday.
Considering the injury attrition that has gone on this year, I would say that Morris and his staff have cobbled together an impressive group of scrappers/overachievers. For example, our starting RB yesterday, (who I am very impressed with) is a converted WR transfer from Kansas St.
