FIU Bits and Game 2 Houston

Well, the first game of the season didn’t go according to Hoyle.

That’s ok.

I think the MG coaching staff are going to be doing a lot of experimenting this year. Seeing who the real players are, who wants to be here, and getting reps for those that they believe can contribute this year and onward.

The FIU game has been rehashed all week here on the boards. I’m not going to (keep) beating a dead horse with my droning obsession regarding line play, so suffice to say I saw some positives along with good old-fashioned beat down last week.

Those include:

• Great job in the punting game.

• Good—not great, but serviceable—job at the QB position. Pleasantly, but only mildly surprised here

• Dunbar is still a stud, and will get his.

Had the opportunity to watch Houston against UCLA, so let’s talk about them for a minute.
