One would think that A&M ... being part of the Big 12 ... would know that a vote by the conference was not binding on each individual institution in this case. Claiming that they've been lied to makes them come across as some spoild child upsent that things didn't go their way so they attempt to blame everyone but themselves.

If Dan Beebe would just boot t.u. from the conference non of this would be happening, and he would still have a job in a couple of years.

That's the irony here. The Big XII agreed to UT's extortion demands a year ago in the name of keeping the league together. In the end all Beebe did was guarantee his league's demise.

I don't understand how any conference charter, binding on all members, doesn't have verbiage specifying the process by which a member leaves.

Oh! and a heart-felt 'poor Aggies!

I think the Big 12 would have collapsed last year if they didn't agree to UT's own network. I think Dan Beebe was in a no win situation to be honest. The other schools that agree were probably insecure about where they'll end up if the Big 12 collapsed so they agreed. The leagues demise has been happening since Colorado and Nebraska made their first moves and left.
