There is talent on this team, but the overall size of the line will likely still be an issue, so plays on offense will have to go off really quickly, and the secondary on defense will have to constantly be on their toes.

What is the concern over size on the line, especially the offensive line?

Uhh, ValleyBoy . . . You might tell them that you have never been to a North Texas game before.

Why muddy the water with facts. The past is the past a doesn't mean the first thing when it comes to Thursday nights game. The Mean Green might be young and untested but none of us know how the ball is going to bounce Thursday night. I believe that with the new coaching staff the Mean Green will play there hearts out against FIU this week and no matter the outcome of the game hold there heads high.

FIU doesn't scare me because we finally have a special teams coach - a real special teams coach whose job is dedicated to special teams.

Also...

...tight end

...fullback

...snaps from under center

...handing the ball off to your top threat

Anyone else here recall that we had Jamario Thomas wasting away in 2007 while the Giovanni Vizza Experiment was in full swing...as in, how many passes can Vizza throw to Fitzgerald in one season, win-loss record be damned?

Yeah.

I have a feeling these coaches understand how to use the talent they inherited on the roster. They won't force these guys into a system just for the sake of running a system.

Someday, when I'm doing your taxes, and I miss a huge deduction, then screw up your kids' inheritance putting the money in the wrong kind of trust, you'll be OK with it because I watched the FIU game on ESPN3, right?

This sort of thing is the ultimate dilemma.

Watching the game makes you a better future father, but going to class makes you a better future husband.

I have no idea how to grade out the decision process for this.

The solution is clearly to watch the game while in class on the never dropped signal of the Apogee UNT network.

That is hypothetical on so many levels.

Just watch the game on your laptop, and listen to your prof between plays. You win, my kids win.
