Irene's schedule is for THIS week. The Mean Green is in Miami next week. Last i saw winds were predicted to be in the 70's IF Irene even hit the Miami area. There is some doubt of that as the mountains in the Dom Rep and Haiti might cause the storm to "up and over" or miss entirely. Don't fret yet, it's next week's weather you want to watch. Maybe it's good this is getting out of the way now.

It will be "fair skies and following winds" for the Mean Green's game. Book it Danno!

This. Looks like it will be long gone by game time. It's supposed to die out around Saturday.

You must know something weather.com doesn't know. The 10 day forecast has thunderstorms from now until Wednesday before the game. (We'll see what they have for game day in the 10 day forecast tomorrow.) I'm just sayin'. Everyone should pack their Mean Green panchos just in case.

My wife keeps reminding me of Irene. After Rita and then Ike, DeepGreen is really burned out on hurricanes. Keeping a close watch today.

I'm burned out on these Hurricane names. You'd think the weather service would name Hurricane's with better ones - like maybe something Biblical or out of a great horror movie. Irene and Rita don't sound impressive at all. Neither does Ike. Where do they get these names? Irene and Rita sound like two Bingo gals down at the VHA hospital...

This was just spotted off the coast of Miami due to make landfall next Thursday

Uh, you got the wrong rotation. Hurricanes in the Northern Hemisphere have a "counter-clockwise" rotation. This is what Hurricane Ike looked like:

Your point?

What's coming to Miami on Sept. 1 is Meaner than a normal hurricane! So mean, in fact, it spins clockwise in the northern hemisphere. B)

I promise to never doubt you again.

Per the Miami 10 day forecast, they expect the last day of rain to be the last day of August and are calling for partly cloudy with a high of 89 degrees on game day. :jig:
