"New York kept stumbling. John Thomson (news) pitched a three-hitter as the Texas Rangers (news) completed their first three-game sweep at Yankee Stadium in the franchise's 43-year history, 5-1."

The Senators/Rangers have always been an American League team and have played at New York every season since 1960. It amazes me that this is the first time ever that they have swept the Yanks in a three-game series. ohmy.gif
