Similar to last year, a record number of quality International players are expected to dominate the 2003 draft. This draft is deep, tall and athletic.

The Mavs, though picking at the end of the draft, should pick up a great prospect. Additionally, Mark Cuban will make a run at Clipper free agent center Michael Olowokandi. Miami Heat's Alonzo Mourning and/or the Jazz's Karl Malone. My sleeper free agent is New Orleans Jerome Moiso (6-10)

if you can get alonzo morning to a small deal for maybe a couple mil a year, its a small gamble with possibly a big payout. If he can get healthy and stay healthy and even return to 70% of what he once was, I can guarantee you he'll have double the stats LaFrentz and Bradley put up every night.

First on my list is Juwan Howard. He is nasty, rebounds, is strong, and brings interior offense which they need more than interior defense. The interior defense will be fine if the perimeter defense improves, which is why it is crucial to re-sign Raja Bell.

I think P. J. Brown, Malone, or Howard are the most likely. Mourning is a gamble, but I agree could have a huge payout. The thing is...any of these guys make us better. Another step or two in the right direction and we're championship calibur (look how close we got this season). I agree that defense will again be a focus...Raja Bell needs to stick around, he hustles and is a pesky defender.
