Some more newcomers lose their stripes

According to Green Gang Blog (Facebook) these guys lost their stripes at today's Stripe Removal ceremony:

juco QB Brent Osborn

Freshman DT Terell Brooks

Freshman OL Cyril Lemon

Freshman DE Daryl Mason

Freshman LB Derek Akunne

Freshman RB Jeremy Brown (he's a walk-on from Whitewright who was really impressive in the spring; as I recall he was #24....now listed as #37)

Glad to see young DL stepping up....as well as the others.

Figured Brooks wouldn't be too long in coming. Or Akunne, for that matter. Don't know how he's been doing this fall, but my next pick is Chad Polk.

The new players all have two black stripes across the middle of their practice helmets. They earn the right to have them removed by their performance in practice.
