I don't see it as the inevitable price of success. It might be the price of taking shortcuts to success. But I believe that we have enough going for us that we can be successful with the right people in place, and something to generate fan excitement.

He started in 1981, brought them up through the ranks of HELL that was 1-AA to national fame. Don't see how anyone could judge his efforts as taking shortcuts?

I wasn't talking about the entirety of his tenure, I was talking about the program's violations. Those were the shortcuts, and that's why he and Boise State are facing consequences.
