UNT to recieve $8 million gift

I havent seen this posted anywhere today, so I thought I'd add it. Sorry if this isnt the right forum. Im not sure if this has anything to do with the Aug. 15 donation, but my guess would be "no". It doesnt seem to have anything to do directly with athletics, but who knows if some of the money will trickle that way or not. Hoping to get some more info on the aug 15 donation. Somebody has to know more tha what has been posted on the subject thus far.

I love sports as much as anybody, but it's better for the money to go to academics anyway.

Voertman is a great man, and this is a great and selfless act, especially for the way it was done. His bookstore has been a joy and a resource for the North Texas Community for so many over a very long period; now he has made a legacy that will keep giving to future generations.

FloMoGrad is right, we should all take some inspiration to do more from this.

Thank you, Mr. Voertman. Your generous donation will help UNT and UNT students for years and years to come. Makes me even happier that I purchased all my textbooks from Voertman's and spent countless dollars on gifts and supplies there as well over many years. Great store guided by generous and caring people. Many thanks.

This will also help bring more sizable donations to UNT. This sort of thing seems to create other like minded opportunities. GREAT things are truly happening for UNT these days.
