I would like to see a recognition of all the fans at the opening game who have attended North Texas football games at all three venues. At the very least, try and identify as many of them as possible, and flash their names on the jumbotron.

Here is one of the last games played at old Eagle Stadium.

It didn't fly with the females of my college days either.

"Overflow crowd of approximately 10,000" -- that's pretty impressive.

I tried to find SilverEagle in the crowd pictures - not sure I could pick him out though :-)

I was looking through the fraternity section of that yearbook. Were they all local back then? I didn't recognize any of the names, and the ones I read all began with "Started by NT student in 19xx." Also, it looks like Greek Row ran around Fry St. and maybe part of Oak St.? It was interesting that one fraternity house it what is now Big Mike's Coffee with apartments on the second story.

AHHH HAH HA! Look at Mark's swagger! All fresh and pressed in those slacks and ready to go disco it up with that pose!

Great pic KRAM!

Disco was not even close to being in exestence in 1970.

Mark Miller, fashion forecaster?

Good things are happening for terrible fashion choices!

Even then, you can make out the faint outline of a man so constantly positive he might as well be wearing three socks.

Well done, 1Mark.

He's the one wrestling the offensive coordinator in the stands just prior to halftime.

Yep, lots of 60's stuff back in style.

And now folks for some props. I noticed that no one has mentioned that the photo was taken to recognize the "who's who" in various fields. Just look on the previous page.

That's pretty impressive folks!..... :thumbsu:

Is this before or after "Who's who" became a giant scam?

I'm not asking to be a doucher. I know it was legit at one point before it just became a bulk mailing check request and am really curious about what it used to be.

This was 69/70. So when did it officially become a bulk mailing scam?

I'd love to recognize the older fans. An example of dedication for the students.

I have no idea on the history, I just know for $50-75, I've been asked to be on some sort of list for years -- first high school, then undergrad and grad work, then at a few different jobs. The craziest was getting a letter at a job I just started this summer. I guess they heard about my interview and liked it?

I took a good friends advice and looked it up on the internet:

Sorry, this was the worst hijack ever and I know Mark's a good and successful guy. I'll log into one of my other accounts and just start putting a minus one next to all my old posts shortly.
