And the Hilltoppers have an impressive schedule.

VCU (at home), Murray State (at home), Louisville, Chaleston Classic tournament in November, and apparently they are already in the Final Four with an opponent to be detemrined.

Just enough time for Tony Mitchell to join the team get in practice and game time experience. This is the year I think a lot of fans are going to be impressed with JJ's game plan and UNT team execution. I know a lot of fans have questions JJ in game decision making, but now JJ has the talent run his offense and defense. Now we just need to find a center and watch out "March Madness field". UNT has surprised a lot of causal and seasoned basketball followers, but this is our year!!! Just think what this team will become if Tony Mitchell stay's in school another year or more. I bet Mr. Mitchell will, but time will tell on that one.

Oh, thanks to all the previous talented basketball players on the team who have brought UNT's program to where it is now. I look for attendance at this years home games to increase dramatically. Not to mention all the NBA and other scouts that will be in attendance after the first of the year!!

It will also be interesting to see how many local TV stations begin to cover UNT BB this year compared to their over blown coverage of Big XII BB.

I'm very excited about our incoming freshman class and Tony Mitchell.

However, to say "now JJ has the talent run his offense and defense" diminishes our outgoing seniors' abilities.

If you recall, LAST YEAR was supposed to be THE YEAR. There were alot of expectations on those guys because they were so good.

I think this years team (relying alot on freshmen impact, Kedrick's knees, and 2/3 season of Tony Mitchell) will have a tough time extending the 20 wins/season streak. I bet the do it though. :thumbsu:

How does UTSA, FIU, and SMUt get into the Preseason NIT?????

Reguardless UTSA managed to win a play in game last year only to be treated like :bangin: against Ohio St

But FIU???? SMUt???????

C'mon Man

ESPN

I do agree with MDH, We DESERVE a preseason tourny and NEED a preseason tourny to get more PT for all the freshman coming in.

TXA 21 has a contract to show the Big 12 (-2). They get pretty good ratings from what I understand.

I giggled to the fact they have the final four on THEIR own schedule. who does that?

Getting back to WKU's schedule...

6-7 non-conference, 11-5 in regular season SBC play. 17-12 going into Hot Springs.

Dangerous all year in and out of conference play, contenders in league, very scary next year and beyond. Thoughts?

I would say the same goes for us...there are going to be some good matchups between NT and WKU in the future...too bad after this year they won't have to come back to denton until 2017.

Would that save his job?

I think that's a reasonable prediction though Tasty.
