Great photo of new Stadium in "The North Texan"

The latest issue of The North Texan (Summer 2011 - mine came in the mail Saturday) includes one of the best photos I've seen of the new stadium on page 30. It is taken from the east stands and with the new turf and looks like a finished product.

There is also a photo of Coach Mac with the stadium in the background on the inside back cover promoting the upcoming new stadium and season.

Meh. IMO, all these fish-eye photos make the stadium look much smaller than it feels in person.

But........(and this may have been covered elsewhere; apologize if it has; been on vacation for the last two weeks)......

The photo spread of the stadium in "The Dallas Morning News" online was very disappointing. Some (if not all) of the photos were taken a month or more ago, and there was not a photo of the home-side of the stadium (other than an old D-RC photo showing a few of the club seats being installed) in the spread.

There was one photo of the vistors/students side of the stadium, and to the interested but unknowledgable observer, it does not present a true representation of the beauty and size of the entire stadium - in fact, it made the stadium look "small-time".

Disappointing? It was horrible. You're right they didn't even show the home side and a couple of the pictures were close ups of workers working on the stadium. Who wants to see that? They were awful.
