Just days after the Florida Gators announced redshirt freshman Chris Martin transferred from the program, UF announced he will be joined by redshirt freshman tight end Michael McFarland.

Transfers have become quite common for the Gators since new head coach Will Muschamp’s arrival, as McFarland marks the sixth player to leave the program since the new head coach took over.

“Michael and I have come to the conclusion that it is in his best interest to transfer from the University of Florida,” Muschamp said in a press release. “We wish him the best as he continues his career somewhere else.”

I think I have seen these "coach quotes" made in a bit more tactful manner (this one is equivalent in tone to "don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out"!

Sounds an awful like what NT's coach said about Darius Carey.

"Darius did not live up to the standards and expectations that we have set for this football program," said coach McCarney. "We wish him well in all of his future endeavors."

I don't see anything wrong with either comment!

Martin was a 5* recruit out of hs and originally committed to Cal, but McFarland was recruited by Mac.... Only one can hope

Edit: "Martin was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession in late January." Well I dont think Mac wants to deal with those kind of players
