ESPN evaluation : Hornbeak is a smooth operator on the floor for his age. He's highly skilled with the ball which makes for very efficient play on the offensive end. He has range out to 25' both off the dribble and catch. I think he prefers the ball in his hands, but is more than capable of coming off screens for jump shots. When the ball is in his hands good things happen. He sees the floor with vision and can deliver pinpoint passes. His handle allows him to get inside the defense to score on floaters in the lane and shots at the rim.

From July 21st, NBE lists a lengthy list of Big 6 offers.

Hornbeak said in a June interview that he's planning on picking his school before high school season starts. The new NBE interview says the same thing... With a qualifier:

“Hopefully in November,” said Hornbeak of a time frame for his college decision, although that is not set in stone adding “but you never know.”

We've received some questionable early commitments. Glad this one passed us up. (or vice-versa)
