Because Charlotte is relatively young -- the school didn't open its doors until 1946, more than 150 years after UNC Chapel Hill was chartered -- there isn't a huge alumni base to tap into for financial donations. The school has sold about 3,400 seat licenses, which have price tags ranging from $250 to $1,500 each.

Without even having a facility built yet they have sold 3400 seat licenses for a season that won't even occur for two more years. Amazing!

It does make one wonder where we would stand now if our administration didn't blow off alumni connections for 60+ years.

Let's not re-hash what's already been discussed regarding our past. The only thing that we can control is what is happening now. The last few years have shown a turnaround, and let's get this party in full gear come September 10th.

In some ways it's "easier" to sell the dream of football (UTSA, USA, Charlotte). No history of a team means no memories of losing, only pipe dreams about being able to cheer their school and alma matter on in a college football environment.

I don't blame some recent UNT alumni who attended when I did, getting to see/hear about our team being pummeled in our dilapidated facilities under Dodge Ball. I think the new stadium and new coach has created this dream for us again and will get many involved again. I think there are a lot sitting on the fence, if we win-they'll be quick to buy-in.

Who cares about the university of charlotte this is north texas I can honestly care less about the university of charlotte. thankfully we are starting to do better attendance the new stadium helps that and winning games will too. go mean green
