Two-Tone Turf

After checking the construction cam today, it looks like the turf has the two-tone look. I think it looks pretty awesome!

It would be great if it was permanent. I'm thinking it's not. I may just be the way the fibers are pushed. Perhaps they are dressing it up for some pictures later today.

All they have to do is give the field a good two way sweep with the sweeper every Friday before home games, and the look will stick around. That's how most 'two tone' fields are done. Notice I said MOST. No need to post images of purple and grey turf fields (a la Central Arkansas, I think).

I thought sweeping was for real grass. sweeping for turf is for the rubber pellets. I believe the shades of green are just different for a two tone turf field. No sweeping needed.

They're not. I think once we watch a game there we'll all see that it's as close as possible without being silly like Oklahoma State's field.

Works for me. I think two-tone fields look sharp.
