Looks like Jordan Williams, Chris Jones and Trey Norris started Summer 1 today; or within the next day or two. Jarion Henry did not graduate from Dallas Kimball. Highly unlikely he will ever set foot on New Mexico's campus. Still hoping to become eligible this fall is LeBryan Nash of Dallas Lincoln (OSU) Took the SAT last Saturday but left for Stillwater yesterday anyway. Trey Davis (early UNT interest) signed/committed to George Washington but will not attend. Will announce tonight his destination.

How can someone with a bright B-Ball future not even graduate from a frickin public HS? Glad Jones saw the issues and chose not to pursue.

Another reason I don't think JJ's job opportunities away from UNT affect his coaching or recruiting at UNT. Not a jab at Cooley as he's one of the most knowledgeable posters regarding UNT's recruiting, and UNT BB program.

Go Mean Green!!!

JJ will get us some quality big's soon enough!!!

Would have loved to see Forrest in early for summer semester. That is the guy that needs a strength training program more than any of the others.

Special times ahead.

Jones had the play of the day Tuesday at the rec. Crossed a dude and threw down hard in traffic. It was nasty.

FYI, just noticed that Jones has been elevated to a three star recruit by Rival, giving NT three high school players in the 2011 class to get that rating. I think Thompson has been the only other Rival 3 star high school recruit ever signed by JJ at NT. Even without Mitchell and the Frenchman, this is a heck of a class.

I know JJ didn't sign him out of high school, but George Odufuwa was also a 3* recruit.

Chris Jones is our best recruit not named Tony Mitchell, and I stand by that.

Are these guys hooping regularly in the rec center?

If an alumn wanted to come up this summer and just watch, is there a good day of the week to go?

I'm not sure when they are there but I have heard Tony Mitchell, Jordan Williams, Chris Jones, Roger Franklin, and maybe more have been up there regularly and are looking really good.

Can someone tell me if they might play Monday afternoon? I have an appt up there at 11am and was hoping to catch some pickup on the way back........esp if these guys are all playing together already.

They usually show up after 2pm - everyday except Friday.

Jarion Henry did not graduate from Dallas Kimball. Highly unlikely he will ever set foot on New Mexico's campus.

It is looking like Cooley called this one correctly. Jarion Henry didn't enroll at New Mexico in early July as he told the Albuquerque Urinal and Coach Steve Alford is allegedly hinting to boosters that Jarion would not be enrolling at New Mexico.

Now, Jarion and the Lobos coaching staff are battling over, of all things, tweeting.

Albuquerque Urinal

These desert wasteland media outlets, already fueled by a not-so-politically-correct YouTube video made earlier this summer by Henry are having a field day exploiting these Twitter battles.
