The numbers are sewn into the field. The stencils you saw this morning are the pattern for cutting the green turf. They then use the same stencil for cutting out the white turf, then sew the white turf into the cut-out in the green turf. This same process will be used for the SOW logo at mid-field.

So will there be a special ceremony to sew the SOW?

A CRAP load, considering the front row at the 50 yard line at Fouts is 33 1/2 yards, or a bit over 100 feet from the sideline.

So figure the 7th row at MG Stadium is equivalent in distance to the sideline as the 7th outside lane of the track at Fouts is to the sideline.

Rick

I went and measured Fouts today, and it is exactly 90ft. from the sideline to the stands. Not sure how that might change your numbers....

For perspective, the first 25 feet is from the sideline to the concrete strip right where the turf ends. The next 25 feet is from that strip to the inside of the 7th lane of the track. The next 25 feet is from the inside of the 7th land to the middle of the drain just by the neon green line you drew. And it is 15 feet from there to the field level wall.

The field level wall at Fouts is 2ft high.
