I don't know if this will help folks that haven't selected yet or not, but here is a shot of which seats have been selected so far as of about 4pm this afternoon. Sorry about the flash reflection.

I wound up going with section 106, row 9, seats 2 - 5. Great experience.

If you look carefully, that pattern makes an Eagle!

I really, really hate to say this, but it really goes to show how few MGC members there are. I think most of us expected to be struggling to find seats...

Does it? We aren't done with seat assignments for MGC members. The comment seems to imply that we would be further along in the selection process if there were more members. I'd argue that the total number of members doesn't correlate to how fast we can get through the selection process.

That said, we will probably have the same feeling when the MGC selection process is complete. We need more members. I agree with KRAM1 that it would be awesome if donations covered 100% of the student athlete scholarships so that the AD money could be used for other improvements.

I ended up taking the seats on the other end of your row (Seats 7-9) today at 11:30.

To be honest I did not think about a rail being in the way. I'm 6'5" so it should not be a problem, and my kids will always be at the consession stand or the restroom so they won't mind either. READY FOR HOUSTON!!!

Really?? Tell me....what do you see in this image?

Yeah. I asked my kids if they would rather have a rail partially obstructing their view or have quick access to the bathrooms and concession stands. They chose the latter.....LOL

Nice job on the pic. If the Athletic dept would have done this simple act, it would have save me about 3hrs of stressful driving and lost work time. I was going to do it over the phone but having no information, I got nervous at the last minute and drove up. The staff was *really* helpful and nice, but it sure would have been easier with a picture.

BTW, when I arrived, there was a group (students?) being escorted around by Coach Mac. They all had on matching shirts and were taking a photo on the stairs in the main lobby. He seemed to be into it.

Interesting. I have the same exact seats in section 206 (Row 1, seats 1-3). What did you think about the possible railing obstruction ? I really don't think it will be a problem for us. But, we won't know for sure until we actually get to sit in the seats. No matter what, I can't wait !

I didn't think about it either. In fact, I don't even know if it's simply concrete or concrete with railing on top of it. I'll have to check some of the photos that have been posted.

I was hoping thinking more about having the additional leg room and not worrying about screaming in someone's ear, so I liked having the first row. Also, I think the seatbacks will elevate things by a few inches which may help with the railing.

For what it's worth, I asked about the railing when I picked out our seats and was told that the wall would not have a railing on top of it. doesn't really matter to me one way or another, I need that wall to help me corral my kids during the game without bothering anyone around us!

Any updates on the selection process today?

did mine earlier today and absolutely no issues...great process! they had cookies and drinks to consume while hanging out. we ran into coach mac up there and he chatted us up quite a bit, kept thanking us for getting tickets and joining the mgc. it was great to see the stadium with the turf down as well...fine looking stadium.

sec 106, row 13...i plan on standing a bunch, so the row is perfect!

Are you saying that because there is not a row behind 13? I think that is what you meant but wanted to make sure. You got some sweet seats! GMG!

Based on the drawing above, it appears that there is no row 14.

Is that true or a figure of speech? I could've gotten behind you but I figured that you, Zeke, Rudy, medpilot et al would be standing the entire game and I couldn't do that. Good luck with the potty breaks.

Come on, its not like its that hard to see over me.

Sec 105, Row 7, Seats 4-5

correct...hopefully, the wheelchaired folks will be able to stand if needed...

i jest, but have the two seats in front of two wheelie spots, seemed logical.

Sec 105, row 5, seats 23-26.

And I got confirmation that the very front wall is 6 feet high from the ground.

Season ticket holder seat selections will be complete by June 27th.

I'm an Empire man myself, but I like that this is looking like the Rebel Alliance logo:

Thanks for the updated pic, Rick.

Link to Seating Chart as of 9am June 1st.

I went ahead and selected aisle seats on the front row of the lower bowl... I how we will have decent perspective being that low. I loved how close the action seemed when I saw UNT play Monroe last year in Monroe. Terrible stadium experience overall, but you were so close, you felt like you were on the field.

See ya'll Sept 10th!!!

GO MEAN GREEN!
