I believe Terell Brooks makes the biggest impact as a true freshman, because (1) he's a physically ready DT, and it is a need position, and (2) from comments I've read from/about him, it sounds like he's been told he will definitely play as a freshman. There are several others I'm very impressed with, though.

I picked Brooks because (1.) he plays a position where we lack depth at DT (2.) he already has the physical attributes for the position, and (3.) I picked him from an internet search and put his name on here as someone we might consider before I read (the next day) he had committed to us. I hope he makes the two-deep, but am still betting on Tevinn Cantly and others already on the roster to start next year.

I'm going with any of the safeties...not sure which one of them. It's just been so long since the days of jones/buckles, when we had head hunting, ball hawking safeties. I think Mac got at least one in this class. Would go with Brooks, but it's harder for a DT to be physically ready, right off the bat.

At the spring game, I was suprised too see many walk on players

listed on the hand out roster. There were 20-22 names that I did

not reconize. Heck, 20-22 walk on's is a recruiting class.

I am looking forward to the 2011 class reporting in for two-a-days

this coming August! This class is loaded with talented players,

both on offense and defense.

As far as a true freshman defensive player making a impact, I voted

for DT Terell Brooks, becasue I believe Brooks has the talent to make

the DT rotation as a athlete, and not because of the shortage of DT

players. Brooks is a very good DT player, ready for the next level.
