What are the three most important actions you would take if elected? How would you push for them and pay for them?

Mike Sutton: 1. I would eliminate gas wells. I would push for further research and cooperation with other communities which have already researched the long-term effects of fracture drilling and attempt to move the council to vote against the current zoning in the drilling areas. In order to offset the loss in tax revenue from these companies, I would encourage local businesses to stimulate our taxing jurisdictions. Additionally, I support cuts to certain city services including code enforcement and municipal involvement in the construction of the UNT football stadium. I would also favor increasing taxes and removing tax breaks on businesses from outside of our community.
