Just wondering what you all think. He is an idiot for being there in the first place. What good did he expect would come from partying with students? How does his wife feel about it? If he gets fired, I won't feel bad for him. When you are in a public position like being a 1 mil per year head coach, you have to watch what you do, and it's not like this was even a gray area or anything.

I mean how stupid can he be to let people take pictures of him??? I know stuff like this probably goes down alot, but people are probably more discrete about it. I mean, he was posing for the camera, holding a beer, and kissing some girls. Your right IronMan, Im sure his wife was real happy about that.

College basketball has some issues. After a great tournament with superstars and cinderella teams, you have all the scandals old (Michigan), new (Georgia), teams quitting (St. Bonaventure), and now 47 year old coaches getting drunk with college kids in Missouri. Add the fact that the top high school players are skipping college altogether for the most part, and college basketball has a few things to fix.

1) The "Coaches Gone Wild" joke has been worn out in an amazing two days by the media.

2) He won't get fired because he is losing, he will get fired because ISU pays him more than any other employee and there is a certain responsibility that goes with that, to represent his team and his school everywhere he goes and with everything he does. He has not done that, and you don't pay a coach a million dollars to embarass the university. They have every right to fire him. You don't have to break the law to get fired (or if you are Bob Knight you could prolly do that too). Eustachy has embarassed his school and the administration enough. It's not like nobody else will snatch him right up anyway.

If I remember ISU's football coach also had a scandal of sorts and he wasn't shown the door. So I guess I don't agree that Eustachy is getting canned because he's high profile.

This isn't court, there doesn't have to be a precedent, if the president and AD decide he has done enough to get fired, I would see exactly what they mean.

One other thing, Eustachy has been the national sports story for a week, and given the athletic department a black eye over this. Being that I never even knew anything happend with thier football coach (and I watch way too much SportsCenter), it was obviously not even approaching this in magnitude.

Now it looks like he paid players. Not big bucks, but this guy can't be too bright to think he can pay players anything and get away with it..then get plastered at a college house party and get away with that too. Looks like he's had this coming for a while.
