The mystery man at running back was Jeremy Brown. He is a walk-on from Whitewright who spent some time at Abilene Christian. He walked on at UNT and scored two touchdowns at running back today. McCarney said he will continue to have opportunities.

I couldn't find him on any of the ACU rosters going back to 2007.

I couldn't find him on any of the ACU rosters going back to 2007.

He finished third in the 100 at the 2A State Track Meet in 2008. He was a Senior.

My son played against Brown in high school, he was a pretty productive back at Whitewright. I think he's been completely out of football for the past couple of years.

For what it is worth, he is listed in the 2007 edition of Texas Football as having 4.3 40 speed.

I will add that he is a solid 5'10.

Had a game in 2007 where he rushed for 238 yds against Little Elm.

His 2007 stats include 167 carries for 1,543 yds and 25 TDs. 9.24 yds per carry and 140 yards a game average.

Brown is solid alright but I'd say he's more in the 5'6" to 5'7" range as far as height. He also played basketball at Whitewright up until his senior year.
