WOW...interesting read. It was interesting to see the involvement of HS and college coaches that have been associated in some fashion with CLA. I won't want to have anything to do with the CLA. Looks like Tony Mitchell and his mother are a lot smarter than most involved with the CLA. I'd assume he's grateful that part of his life is behind him. Now Tony can focus on his grades in college and can distance himself from any past association with the CLA.

Go Mean Green!!!

Also made me wonder how long before Kstate gets hit with something. Frank Martin doesn't appear to be that clean either

The more I think about this article and Tony's Mom's reaction to what KState put Tony through, the more I believe Tony's mom is really smart and looking out for her son's best interest!!! If this is the case Tony might, just might get a degree from UNT. NBA money will always be in Tony's future. My dad, a Baylor grad. always told me college will teach you "how to think" if your apply yourself correctly. Later in life Tony Mitchell will have the money!! Then the question will be how does he invest his money and who's Tony going to trust to help him. Good thing is Tony M. was able to see who not to trust while at CLA. I'm sure those lesson's learned will serve him well in the future.

Agreed. It's good to see Tony's mother has a strong influence in his life. So maybe instead of "investing" in a million dollars of unpaid for jewelry and looking to Deion Sanders for life advice, Tony's family will keep him better prepared for life outside the cocoon of high school and college life.

Of course the wisest of investments is joining the mean green club and buying season tickets... I am sure his mom will teach him that...

LOL on the mean green club!!! :goodjob: I'm sure Tony might have a few extra bucks laying around to handle that. More importantly is his education and having a great experience at UNT. Then he might let a lot of other top recruits what a great time he had at UNT!!! Time will tell. Grateful his family and coach from HS thought of JJ and UNT, then did what was necessary to enroll at UNT.

I can't wait until BB season next year. Years ago I would always go to the football forum first. Over the past few years it's BB board first and then maybe the FB forum if I'm in the mood. Sure hope a lot of other fans have begun to do the same. Glad to be able to pull for a winning program over the last 4 years or so.

Go Johnny and the Team!!!

RV please get Mr. Jones new comp. package done!!!
