Strongside is the side with the most offensive linemen; usually the side with the tight end. There are six linemen when the tight end is used so there must be three to one side of the center. That side is known as the strongside where the predominate number of blockers are.

So on any given play the strong side could be either side? The strong side player would rotate to the side there are more blockers...

yep

So if the blockers are more on the otherside...what is it then?

Also does it have anything to do with the side with mote area of coverage....

Looks like UNTFan23 is right on...

In an offense that uses a Tight End, the Strong side is the side the Tight end lines up on. If defensive players flip sides with the strength, they watch the break of the huddle for the TE, usually the MLB or Safety will call out "Strong Left" or "Strong Right" and then they line up accordingly. Note that the offense can flip the strong side by using motion.

If a team runs a spread (no Tight End), the defense will either have a key offensive player they watch and call strength to his side, or will call strength to the side of the QB that the RB lines up on.
