Hello Everyone,

I promise this will be the only post making this request, because I know the focus here is on UNT.

As many of you know by now, I am running for Denton City Council this May. An election of this type, though small in scope, requires significant financial resources in order to be successful.

My vision for Denton is to make it a better city. That means better infrastructure, such as roads as transportation services, better business opportunities, and strong ties to our universities. In order to achieve these goals, I plan to work hard to ensure the city closes its budget shortfall and rebuilds our decaying roads. I will work to make our community more attractive to businesses that can support our growing city. And I will work to create a University Relations Committee to build a strong and mutually beneficial alliance between the city of Denton and our two local schools.

You know, I have always disliked this guys William F. Buckley-like dismissive attitude toward liberal/centrist political issues. But for all of you who live in Denton,IMHO you couldn't find a more competent person to be on the city council. Need proof? Just look at the new stadium being built. Without the student vote (Derrick was a major player in making it happen), that stadium wouldn't be happening right now.

Just my humble opinion, but I give this guy more credit for the stadium than RV.
