I want to give all of you individual run downs later, and I will. I don't have the heart to do it right now - maybe in acouple of hours. Just know I love the magic carpet ride these years have been.

Thanks you Seniors for the great ride, and the class with which you played the game. May you continue to represent our fare university well in your future endeavors.

Jamie Egenti - Thanks for hanging in there the last 2 years. Being a walk on, your whole job is to make the starters better in practice. You obviously did your job well. Was thrilled you got to score on Senior night and then again in the WKU game.

They worked their butts off more than I have seen the entire year. No complaints at all about defensive effort or otherwise. Just one of those crappy things that happens in life even though we looked like the better team. BOL in life after NT basketball Seniors, and thanks for the memories.

Cameron Spencer - You were indispensable last year as our first reserve big man. Especially when you probably didn't think you would be, but were thrown in when Hogans was out for the year. This season - you were hurt. Unfortunately the NCAA decided not to grant you medical waiver, so this was it. Still appreciate you very much for sticking with us through the injury. I hope you feel like you made a proper decision transfering here.

You guys have done more for NT basketball than we even realize yet.

that's so true...normally, i hate these types of threads about thanking the seniors for their effort because they chose to play the game and we do appreciate it, thanks shouldn't be needed, but these guys really have elevated north texas basketball. look at the recruits coming inand the success these boys had here...it's hard not to be excited about the basketball future at north texas.

Shannon Shorter -- You are utility player and our best perimeter defender. Need someone to take that charge? You were often it. Grab a loose ball rebound? Again you were often that guy. Could also score when we needed you, getting a career high 24 in our second game with Little Rock. Could hit the clutch shot when asked. I admit a bit of a bias to the jack of all trade types of guys - always have liked those gritty guys. All the stars in the world won't get you wins if you don't have those sorta guys who dive for the loose ball. We'll miss you a lot.

Awesome group of seniors. It will be long time before we get a bunch like this. I will always have fond memories of these guys.

Dominique Johnson -- The backup PG with the skills of a starter. Instant offense when we needed it. Your junior season you exploded on the scene with 120 assists. Amazing accuracy from the charity stripe, will go down as one of the best we've ever had in that stat. You stuck with it after getting injured early last year, got your medical red shirt, and then came back this year with a vengeance. Hit many clutch shots. The 3 you hit against ASU before the halftime buzzer was perhaps the highlight of the year. I feel so bad for you, because you were injured during last year's run - this was your chance to go Dancing. So glad you came here from Junior College.

Thank you seniors. you were my first group to see play north texas basketball when i came on campus in 07. to me you are the only NT basketball i know, and will be sad that i dont have the prilvige to see you play one more time. Their has been the highest of highs and the lowest of lows...but yall have always been their ready to play your asses off for the team name on the front. for that i thank you more then you could ever know.

George Odufuwa -- I remember the excitement when you transfered from ASU. I believe you lived up to your hype. What a career, averaging a double double for 2 years running. First sharing the front line with Tramiel, and then Hogans. You improved your scoring all 3 years you were in the line up, becoming one of the best interior men in the league (all conference teams be damned). Something that gets overlooked far too often, was how great of a passer you became. Your block preserving the Sun Belt title in the '10 Championship game was the stuff of legend. It's tough knowing you won't be here anymore.

Tristan Thompson -- Came in as one the most heralded recruits that JJ had ever brought in. Started off an on your freshman year. Helped spearhead our tremendous comeback at NMSU that year.Really started coming into your own your sophomore season, and by your junior campaign were a budding star. The game you had against KSU in the NCAA tournament was just awesome. Then this year...First team all conference selection leading the league in scoring. The Sunbelt tournament run, becoming the record holder for most points (95). The game against FAU where you practically willed us back into the game will be your crowning achievement. Probably the best pure scorer we've had since Chris Davis. You ended as the # 5 leading scorer in school history with accolades in several other categories as well. It's very hard to imagine a NT team without you. Hopefully you'll play pro ball somewhere. First ballot HOF'er.

Josh White -- You burst on the scene in only your second game leading the team over Oklahoma State despite getting 2 chipped front teeth. It only got better from there. You were a flat out scorer as a freshman and earned all sorts of accolades (Freshman of the year for one). As a sophomore an early season hand injury hampered your scoring, but you started transforming into a more traditional PG. One of the best FT shooters in school history, you nearly led the country in that stat your 2nd year. Definitely the most clutch player I can remember, you thrived when the game was on the line. The game winner over Troy in the '10 Sunbelt Final was probably the most clutch shot in the last 20 years of NT basketball. But it was far from the only one...honestly they are too numerous to mention. If UALR's last second 3 hadn't gone in, your shot tonight would've also been thrown in the pantheon. Near the top in points, FT shooting, and assists. It makes me feel hollow inside knowing you won't be there to follow anymore. Another first ballot HOF'er.

I really cannot think of much more to add from what has already been said about this group of seniors. While I am ALWAYS proud of North Texas, you guys have made me especially proud. You have elevated the basketball program and you have carried yourselves well, both on and off the court. Thanks for the great ride and thanks for all the great memories I will have of watching you play.

All the best...you have earned your place in UNT history and lore!

GO MEAN GREEN!

I think it is time to look up at the rafters of The Pit and consider retiring #10.
