We just looking at this kid's 2010 stats - and, yes, I know college is different than high school. But, over 1,000 rushing on only 108 carries plus 24 catches...I think this kid is a steal.

I think back to the Davis brothers that McCarney had a Iowa State, the one who went over 2,000 yards in a season twice, Troy; and Darren, who went over 1,000 for three consecutive seasons. Those guys were also considered "small" as well at 5'8" to 5'9"-ish. I think McCartney and this coaching staff will make this kid a star...if he's a hard a worker as he is a runner.

Troy Davis was a Heisman finalist if I recall. I also remember him saying Peyton Manning deserved to win the Heisman because and so eloquently said, "he throw ball far."

Interesting comparison to think about.

North Texas Track and Field sprinter, Senior, Justin Flowers tied

a SBC 100 meter time of 10.54 this week.

North Texas football recruit, RB Zac Whitfield, ran the 100 meters

at the Frisco ISD Track meet, timed at 10.56.

Can Zac compete in track and field, and football for North Texas?

There's an interesting article today on College Football's fastest players; most of whom run track at their respective schools. 10.56 in the 100m would stack up there in the range of fastest players on that list.

Luther Ambrose from La-Monroe made the list of honorable mentions, and he is very friggin fast.
