So josh is well rested and ready to go, and after talking to Hogans he claims he has been suffering from cramps and nothing more.SO our remaining players should be at full force come Saturday! I am still ready for next season. Hogans is a great mentor for T-Mitch and the kid is making his grades. Hogans, Holmen and Mitchel should be a force for us next year as they work on developing chemistry. Still waiting on the word for this JUCO PF transfer from down near Houston. My friends friend plays for the team and they contacted a guy from the team. Who knows, but our prayers may be answered yet. Now lets buckle down and win out at Hot Springs!

Next year's team may be more talented, but until they put together 80+ wins and an NCAA appearance (or two) in their time at NT, I'm not going to call them better than this group of seniors. Im sure Coach Jones meant something like that and it was lost in hearsay.

And there is also the adjustment from high school to college, and Mitchell making his academic hours.

I will go into next year with zero expectations of post-Sun Belt tournament play. I'll just enjoy watching the guys get better as the year progresses. I will be shocked if we go anywhere after the Sun Belt tournament next year.

But, the year after, look out!

My only real expectation for next year is to develop chemistry. My two hopes, both of which I'll admit are important to me beyond what a "hope" should be, are to see Tony Mitchell get eligible and for the program to (hopefully) continue a 20 game winning streak.

I hope everyone takes the long view and appreciates that a team loaded with freshmen will have a learning curve, no matter how talented they are. For the most part, it seems like everyone that's a regular on the basketball forum is of that mindset.

He should get a few games in before conference starts , maybe one big game vs a BIG XII opponent in a unnamed arena

he said that next years team is already better then this years team as seniors....

I'm certainly optimistic about next year's group of rookies, but that's a pretty crappy thing for anyone to say publicly at this point in the game. Btw, are you TM's guidance counselor, or do you have some other way of being so positive about his future on the court at NT? Just wondering.

Jordan Williams has to learn how to handle being benched much better than he did tonight. (Though his frustration was warranted) He did not do or say anything disrespectful but I was shocked. Though I like his potential, please tap the brakes on him being a savior.

Next year's team won't win a game during their career at NT, not one, so I would suggest preparing for the worst.

Are you trying to horn in on Lifer's bit? I am pretty sure they will get to the Sun Belt tournament since everyone in our league gets to go. :P

I am cautiously optimistic about next year's team. Since we could easily start three freshmen and a sophomore there will probably be games where they struggle to put it all together. By the time the Sun Belt tourney rolls around they could be hitting on all cylinders and ready to make some noise. Good things are happening for the basketball team, and I look forward to seeing how this all turns out.

Not honing in on Lifer's bit at all. I said that I don't expect us to play after the Sun Belt tournament.
