The Lakers think they have it already. They took the split at Minnesota and figure that's all they need to win the series. If KG can get 30, 17, and 7 a few more times it may not be the case.

I think KG is underrated. If Shaq or any Knick has a line like he had in the playoffs tonight, the media would be falling all over themselves and he would be on the cover of Home & Garden. Oh well, I hope he can pull off this series somehow.

Totally agree about Garnett. He actually had an even better game than those numbers. I think he was 26-16-6 shortly after the half when he relaxed a little. They rested him quite a bit and he spread the ball around a ton in the second half. If this game was even close then the guy could have probably set some sort of triple double record for the playoffs. I never really pay attention to the T-Wolves but tonight I was cheering for them all the way. It really is amazing that he was able to put up the numbers, none the less putting them up against the might Lakers.

Go T-Wolves! Beat the Lakers in 5!

I was happy as heck too(though I mostly was watching the Stanley Cup playoffs). I think the Lakers have too much for the Timberwolves, but I always thought Minnesota would play well. I never bought that Minnesota had NO chance. rolleyes.gif

Lakers in six. Hopefully the Spurs beat them next round.

Sorry CMJ, but I gotta go with the Kings basketball. This has to be their year and I suspect they'll love to see the Lakers 'tank it' against the T'wolves. Haven't gotten over last years' series with the L.A. guys.

What little I like about the NBA usually revolves around the Sac Kings. The Maloof brothers I knew when I lived in Albuquerque. They owned the big beer distributor in the state so you couldn't hate'm. Their team shows character and depth with some strong role players.

The Lakers have had their time.

I drive right by the Kings' Arco Arena every time I go to the airport in Sac. It sits out in the middle of a huge field. They do well in a small population area compared to the competition. It may be the smallest population base in the NBA.

They were robbed big time in game 6 last year and they haven't forgotten it.

I would like the Kings more if they quit flopping like the Jazz. I think once Divac retires or dies on court from his chain smoking, that will be cut down. Christie is a punk, and that's ok but the thing I don't like about him is that he is the most whipped dude of all time. He is pathetic. He isn't even allowed to talk to females without his wife present. ohmy.gif

I've been watching this fourth quarter of Utah-Sactown and someone has flopped on every trip down the court. This series' film will be considered the holy grail of NBA flopping when it's over. If they kept a stat on this, each team would have 6 in double figures.

Rick Fox is out for the playoffs. Thank goodness I don't have to see that pretty boy punk anymore for the rest of the season.

It would be pretty funny if the Lakers lose this series and blame it on the loss of Rick Fox. That's when you will know things are going bad in Hollywood.

Boy was I wrong on that one, he got more face time than KG did last night. I hate how when something is going on in the game, they cut over to a close up of a coach or an injured player or someone's wife...show the game!
