Okay, I saw Mitchell play in person tonight in an intramural game. This guy is easily worth all the hype and then some. He's legitimately 6'9". He has unlimited range on his jump shot(hit 3 30-footers with ease), which is very smooth. He's INCREDIBLY athletic, with a vertical that is 36" at a bare minimum. If he plays for us next year, I guarantee you he will win Sun Belt MVP. Now all that being said, if he enters the draft this year, I'd be shocked if he wasn't a top 10 pick, possibly higher, considering the lack of talent(that translates to the NBA) throughout college basketball this year. Here's to hoping he stays for a year.

Did you pull out a tape measure? If he's a legit 6'9" people would likely be calling him 6'10". Sure hope he has grown as you say, because I do believe that he wears a cape on the court and can leap tall buildings in a single bound.

As good as he is, I doubt he would declare for the NBA without playing at all. Unless he was the number 1 player out of high school, he is going to have to play a little bit. I'm not doubting that he is going to be a lottery pick some day, i follwed him closely in high school as soon as he mentioned us as a possibility, but he is still going to have to play somewhere. He was highly ranked, but not quite that highly ranked.

That all being said, I still think that we will have him for a year and a half, and I think that if we get Jarion we will be stupid good next year. Yeah, stupid good. My reasoning for thinking that TM will stick for an extra year is the fact that he will improve his draft stock by staying because he wont be that hot of a commodity only tearing up SunBelt teams, and he will see the oppurtunity to do really good things by staying one more year.

My 2 cents.(I know that means nothing compared to Jessie i.e. TTG, love you!)
