The article was indeed nothing new to the small minority of us in the Metroplex that follow UNT football everyday. However, this story was great publicity for UNT to a majority of DMN readers who do not follow the Mean Green. It was a pleasant surprise to get the paper in this morning and see Coach Mac's name at the top of page one of the sports section.

UNT will open a new $78 million stadium next fall. What a great north Texas university it is turning out to be. The Mean Green opens spring practice March 23rd. New Coach; New Stadium! Check it out in the DMN article.

Had dinner with some friends the other night, and their daughter dates Bryce Tennison who plays Offensive Line at SMUt. He said that the players and coaches down at SMUt are very impressed with the McCarney hire; and know that he will turn things around quickly in Denton.
