Hey guys, was wondering if you all could give me some help...

I'm trying to go with Directv at the tailgate this year but need a little help with getting it set-up in the parking lot.

I just got Directv about a month and a half ago, and when I asked the guy about taking it to a tailgate he said it would be smart of me to buy the SWM dish for the road since that is the one it is currently feeding through.

Anybody have any advice about this? I don't mind buying the SWM dish if its my only choice, but I'd like to save some money...

also, if there is any advice on setup, that'd be nice too...

Thanks ahead of time

We have this working... got a cheap receiver dvr from dtv and a portable dish and signal meter from solidsignal.com. they can talk u through the best product options. The satgo option from dtv was about 500 when I was shopping last summer. I would advise non-hd. They say getting a signal is very difficult with hd. I think we spent about 100 for dish, meter, and delivery.

If you are in the DFW area just take a box from the house and use it at the games. I did this for years, since I was in the area I didnt need the satgo option. I had an exta dish (non hd) set up on a portable tripod. Hooked up the box and TV aim the Sat at 181 degrees and I was good to go.
