Just talked to Shannon & UNT called classes tommorow already so I bet the game is off?

Wonder if FAU could stay around & play Friday or Saturday! Do they have a game on Saturday?

They play FIU on Saturday.

Because school is out Thursday, does it have to mean that the game is canceled/postponed? My guess is that the reason that school is closed already for Thursday is not so much the roads, but the power situation...rolling blackouts and all that. My bride tells me that UNT has some agreement with Denton Municipal Electric (or where ever they buy their power...I think DME) to cooperate in times like this when there is a chance that power usage would surpass capabilities.

But, does that mean the game is actually off? I wonder if FAU is already in town? Could a Friday game be in the works? That would be tough...especially on FAU, so i would think not, but just wondering how they handle such as this?

Your assuming that FAU's flight hasn't been canceled to even get here. Air travel has been severely impacted by this storm all over the place.

I suspect the game will be canceled if the campus is closed. From a logistics standpoint, will there be enough personnel available to run an event at the Super Pit?

I may end up missing this game then. I live on a small hill and the roads are still very icy in my neighborhood so I might not make it back up the ally in the dark after the game. Making the drive from Carrollton just doesn't seem worth the risk.

with classes cancelled how would this affect attendance?

I think the weather will affect attendance much more than the classes being cancelled. I still expect a decent student crowd, because most students are within walking distance. Temperatures in the 20's may bring that number down a bit though. Since classes may still be on for Friday, almost all students are still on campus.
