I was surprised when they asked, "Who is a coach on the mid-major level that you feel will be attractive to high-major programs when the annual hiring/firing cycle begins at the end of the season?" that JJ wasn't mentioned...but I guess thats a good thing!

Until UNT wins a 1st round game in the Big Dance , I don't see JJ going anywhere. If everything lines up next year and Mitchell is able to play , I could see us getting past the 1st round , JJ getting a few offers and Mitchell bolting for the NBA. If he does leave I wouldn't be opposed to letting Coach Forrest take over

If we compensate him as we should, make him the highest paid coach in the belt and even close to middle of the road CUSA, we make the decision to leave a whole lot harder.

If we pay Coach Jones what he's worth, and he can hold onto Tony Mitchell for a season or Two, and continue to recruit. The "House that Johnny build" or the renaming the Super Pit "Jones" Arena has a ring to it that just might allow Coach Jones to say "My family and I really like Denton and UNT" so I think I'll stick around a finish what I start here which was building a "Nation Powerhouse Basketball Program".

Mr. Mitchell, again great that have you in Mean Green colors, here's to an extending stay in Mean Green Land. If you stay a lot more of us will be drinking "Green Kool-aid" every day and you'd be responsible.
