NCAA proposes new rules to allow direct payments to players
Football in the AAC is something to be proud of. Many other college football programs only "wish" they could be where we are. We are not Akron! If we never make a CFP, not a big deal. I doubt we make a Final Four either. We just have to celebrate the good wins when they come. Win an AAC Championship and a decent Bowl game, and I'm OK with that. We only lost to Boise by 3 points in a Bowl just 2 years ago. We beat Arkansas 44-17 in Fayetteville. That is an accomplishment to be proud of as a football program. Don't give up the good fight! -

We may have seen the glory days of UNT basketball
I may be high but you gotta figure that Arnett and Stevenson are the only two Cleveland State guys that see big minutes next season. Both look like AAC calibre players to me. Especially current AAC that’s been decimated by the portal. I do think there’s something to be said for having a nucleus coming with Coach Robinson that he can trust to instill his team culture, system, and have played together before. In this day and age, even a level of imported roster continuity is bound to be a good thing. Like the UTEP kid we picked up. And as you said, still plenty of time to add more significant pieces - like we did last year. Plenty of great talent out there looking for a home. -

2025 Softball: Around the AAC Mega Thread
Win the series this weekend and we might be in as an at-large for the NCAA tourney. The latest D1softball.com bracketology article starts by saying a conference is up to 3 bids. I don't subscribe so I had to go to an OU forum where a poster put the full bracket predictions per D1 Softball. We're slotted in OU's bracket: NORMAN DURHAM 1. Oklahoma (5) 1. Duke (12) 4. Army* 4.
