The folks at Scouts, Inc. thought he might end up at TE. Pure speculation. As far as I can tell, he always played WR and was recruited as a WR.

According to Rivals, this is the only WR we currently have offered: Ontario Brown. I am sure there is more going on behind the scenes, but it is very unfamiliar territory to lack WRs in a class this late in the process.

D Mac is doing it right though. Fill up on the important needs before attacking other areas. The majority of our commits are on D and I have no problem with that. I think we end up with 2 WR's this class. The more I think about it the more I think we're going to need 2 rb's in this class. We lose both Lance and Hamilton after this season and only have Byrd in the wings.

Very possible they move Torrance Carr to WR as well, played some in HS, 6-3 210, would be a beast outside. And the fact that we don't have a commit here leads me to believe we have higher targets we're eyeing, waiting for the big boy offers to dry up and grab those 3-4 star recruits that are being strung along as back-up plans.

Or we could see a DB or two moved around here.

Bottom Line...this board has been hit with commitments that have come from people we didn't suspect and all in all we are very happy with each one. I have 100% confidence that if we see an issue that DMAC and staff saw it well before us and that the issue will be resolved by Feb 2nd.

Agreed whole-heartedly. That's kind of what I was trying to say, I don't think the surprises are done here yet and at this point trust DMAC and staff emphatically. Justin Gaines work here isn't done yet. That guys got a bonus available that we don't know about and his wife wants new furniture. Man on a mission.

I cannot wait to wake-up on Feb 3rd and see what the nets bring in... Exciting times to say the least.

I don't think we know yet, "officially", but considering he played only a portion of our first game, he should be a clear cut case for a Medical Redshirt.

Hamilton went down in our 5th game. The cut off is 4 games, really to bad too as he was averaging over 8 yards a carry.

The highest rated receiver still on the board that shows interest in North Texas is Cameron Brown of Frisco Liberty. He's the one that decommited from Minnesota. I don't know that he's been offered but I sure hope so.

I also believe that Carr plays wide receiver, where there is a greater need, than safety. He seems more of an offensive player and his situation reminds me a little of Darius Carey.
