just wanted to add that I think this is because the A&M->SEC and UH->BE rumors heated up. The MWC didn't want to add someone they really didn't want when there might be conference shuffling coming and possibly better candidates looking for a home.

You're right about the Mountain West waiting for better candidates, but it's not because of whatever Texas A&M does. It's because the TV contract is to be renegotiated, and the NBC/Comcast merger could play a huge role in a better contract. The only thing is that this merger isn't finalized and it could take from two weeks to a months before it is.

Wow, another huge setback for Utah State. They thought it was a "sure thing" this round.

USU was one of the original invitees last year to the MWC after Utah left. They declined the invite due to the "no leave" pact and fine that WAC schools signed, only to have Nevada and Fresno break it and sign with the MWC anyway. The USU AD is still kicking himself over all the missed opportunities for a move up...only to remain in a declining WAC.

All in all it's better for UNT that the MWC postponed a expansion decision. Maybe we can get a "94 feet of heat presentation package" together to show them before their next meeting? :rolleyes:

      Week 4 Bowl ESPN Projections

      I would love for us to get a team we had good chances against in a bowl game. I and many others have been to all bowls since we won the New Orleans bowl and have only seen 2wins although last bowl game we played in was close and we showed UNT can play with a lot of teams. We will end up 7 -5 or 8-4 and might get a decent bowl not in mid December. Go Mean Green keep up the 3-4 and win 9.
