I know it's probably a misperception.....but it seems like every one of our recent commits has been recruited by Justin Gaines. He's phenomenal.

Really nice guy....if you get the chance to meet him, take advantage of it.

Justin Gaines is special, he's an amazing recruiter and has already established himself as the lead guy for North Texas. Recruits love him and he makes a great impression on their coaches and familie.

Well, the folks at Montana State were understandably disappointed when he left, mostly regretting the loss of his ties to Texas recruiting. What's amazing is that, when Vito published the new salaries for head football coach and assistants, that he was at the low end. I'm thinking that with Dodge getting gainful employment at Pitt, some additional money may be available, and that Gaines may get some of it. However that we do it though, I'd like for UNT to come up with enough compensation, and soon enough, that we can keep him around for a while. Any travel expenses he's incurring look like money well spent!

I'll be terribly surprised if his salary doesn't increase 50-100% in his first year on the job. It's also possible that he might have some incentives that we don't know about. He is simply too valuable to not be taken care of.

I was also thinking about that; when an employer has someone with major travel requirements for their job, the travel expenses may enhance the overall compensation. Also, Vito has admitted that number crunching is not his forte.
